Guruvayoor Temple: Guruvayoor is 32Km away from Thrissur,
connected by road and rail. It is one of the most important
pilgrim center in India which is also known as the Dwaraka of
the south. Guruvayoor is created by both guru and vayoo. The
temple attracts thousands of pilgrims is said to prior to the
16th centaury. The Mammiyoor temple has even more longer history,
and dates back well in time before the Guruvayoor temple.

Peechi Dam: This dam is situated
23Km from Thrissur. the dam is well connected by bus service,
it is a tourist spot with boating facilities. The area is
also he Peechi Vazhani wild sanctuary. There is also a small
Art Museum, which has a wild collection of wood carvings metal
sculptures, Kathakali figures and ancient jewellery. The zoo
is spread to 13.5 acres is unique in having a variety of fauna
like the lion tailed macaque, sloth bear, spicies of birds
and deer. The snake park has a reptilian collection of various
snakes and reptiles.
Chalakudy: It is an important
satellite town of Thrissur. Chalakudy boasts of many tourists

Anakkayam: About 20 Kms from
Chalakudy on the sholayar peringalkuthu route, Anakkayam means
the "Elephant pit". It is noted for a lake with
cool and placid waters. The place is a forest untouched by
human encroachments and is a haven for those who wish to escape
from concrete jungles. It attracts the visitor with its bubbling
streams, natural rock formations and flora. Athirampally and
vazhachal East of Chalakudy, near the entrance to the sholayar
forest ranges, are the beautiful waterfalls of Athirampally
and Vazhachal,5Km apart. These waterfalls are a place of Scenic
beauty, as water cascades from a height of 80 feet.
Palayoor Church: The Palayoor
church on the Thrissur Guruvayoor road, it is said to be founded
by St. Thomas and was also one of the first churches that
introduced Christianity in India.
Chavakkad Beach: This beach
is blessed with scenic beauty .Here we can the "Azhimokam"
where the sea and river meet together.
Chettuva Backwaters:
Chettuva is one of the growing tourist center. The boat services
are very well arranged, that it is attracted by one and all.
One can enjoy the scenery by having a boat drive through the
